Hot Tools Flat Iron
In addition to curling irons, Hot Tools makes a variety of other hair care products. One of
the popular ones is the flat iron. Until I was in my mid 30's I had never used a flat iron or hair straightener. It just didn't seem necessary.
But my hairdresser used one so I thought I'd try it. Wow. What a difference. The nice thing is that I can also use it as a curling iron for the
bottom ends of my hair. It puts a nice soft curl in the bottom to give me a little bounce, but keeps the wavy frizz away from the upper part of
hair. It takes a little bit to get used to because there is no round barrel to wrap the hair around, you have to manage it with the flat surface
for heating hair. Do it wrong and you'll get a kink pretty easily. After a couple of trys you'll have it mastered well enough to avoid this. I
went looking for a good one that met my needs. Specificially the best selling that I've found is the Hot Tools Professional 1199 Soft Heat
Ceramic+Titanium 1-1/2 Inch Wide Flat Iron with Gentle Far-Infrared Heat. It's described as a professional ceramic titanium flat iron with
far-infrared heat that protects hair's luster and moisture. The plates are coated in Ceramic Titanium which seals the hair cuticle, retains hairs
natural moisture and destroys any odor. Titanium provides lightweight strength, has excellent corrosion resistance and a super hard, smooth
surface for snag free styling and even heat distribution. It produces far infrared heat that is kinder to hair. Styles hair without damage by
drying it from the inside out, creating a Micro Shine surface.
Reviews by previous customers have stated, "My hair looked like it was professionally styled! My hair usually gets frizzy by the end of the
day but not with this iron. It even curls your hair! I had a nice flipped hairstyle in no time, and the day after, I used it again and got a nice
straight do. This iron heats up very quickly and did not burn my thin and freshly relaxed hair." and "This straightener is one of the few that
effectively straighten my thick, long and curly hair. Usually straightening my hair takes over 45 minutes. With this straightener I can get it
done in 10 - 15 minutes. And I have really long hair."
